AFTE Store - Unusual Effects of Discharging Multiple Lead Balls from a Black Powder Pistol

An interesting homicide case involved a black powder pistol with only one percussion cap found but three lead balls and two patches. It was determined that all three balls were fired at the same time and a billiard ball effect gave two of them enough force to enter the victim at close range and the third fell to the ground. Microscopic markings from the patches allowed them to be identified back to specific lead balls.
