AFTE Store - Velocity Drop During The Depletion of CO2 Cartriges in a Pellet Pistol
An experiment was carried ot to determine the change in velocity of pellets during the “life” of a CO2 powered air gun cartridge. As a CO2 cartridge is being used, the pressure inside the cartridge is conistently diminishing. This diminished pressure causes diminished velocities. Measured velcoities and velocities reported for skin penentration were evaluated to determine how many shots could potentially penetrate the skin before the pressure of the CO2 cartridge is too low for penetration.
